We gather some information about our members and visitors to this website. Every effort will be made to keep your data secure, and we will NOT sell or distribute your data to any other organisation.

We hold the following information about our members:

• Contact details and membership status. Membership payment history.
• Events you have booked and attended.
• Any emails, text messages or Facebook messages that you have sent us together with any replies.
• Any messages you have posted on the forum, or on Facebook.
• Photographs (and sometimes videos) of our events.
• Any profile information that you have completed in our forum.
• Scores, results and league tables for activities such as badminton and squash.
• Website analytics, including pages you have visited
• Links you have clicked on in our emails.

We collect the above information for purposes including: internal administration, promotion of our events to members, and to improve our service.

If you have joined our badminton or squash leagues, we may publish the following details on our website: name, games played, scores, results and league table. We will not publish your contact details.

We also collect some information from non-members, including visitors to our website and anyone who has made a membership enquiry:

• Contact details, including email address and phone number
• Any emails, text messages or Facebook messages that you have sent us together with any replies.
• Personal information that you sent us by completing our survey: name, address, phone number, email address, why you would like to join, a brief description of yourself and any other comments you have added.
• Website analytics, including pages you have visited
• Links you have clicked on in our emails.

We collect this information for purposes including: internal administration, marketing and promotion of our events and club membership, and to help introduce you to our members if you decide to join.

We are committed to protecting your data. These are our intentions with regard to your data and privacy:-

• We will NOT sell or distribute your data to any other company or organisation
• We will NOT provide your contact details to any other member without your consent.
• You may unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time, by clicking on the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of the email.
• We may use photographs taken at Citrus events on our website or on social media such as Facebook. If you would prefer not to have your photograph used in this way, please let us know.
• We may let other members know who is likely to be attending events if they ask for this information, or to encourage other people to attend events.
• We will not publish your contact details online without your prior consent.
• We use cookies or similar software to track visitors to our website, and to see who has viewed our email newsletter, or clicked on any links in the newsletter.
• Our main website and the forum are secure websites and data is encrypted between your browser and the hosting server.
• If you register your details with other organisations while participating in Citrus Club events, you will be subject to the terms of that organisation’s privacy policy, and we have no control over this.

If at any time you feel that we have not adhered to these principles, please contact us at jon.neal@citrus.social and we will use all reasonable efforts to determine and correct the problem immediately. Please note that we may update our Privacy Policy from time to time.

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please write to Citrus Club Ltd, 40 Fareham Close, Walton-le-Dale, Preston, PR5 4JX.

You may withdraw consent for us to hold your data at any time. If you would like to do this, please email jon.neal@citrus.social or write to us at the above postal address.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please let us know as soon as possible. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
